Tattoo and Piercing Aftercare

Proper aftercare is essential to ensure the best possible healing for your new tattoo or piercing. We provide detailed instructions and high-quality aftercare products, including aftercare balms and saline solution.

• Your artist may apply Recovery Derm Shield to aid in healing. Once applied, leave it on for 2-7 days or as recommended by your artist.
• For best results, remove Derm Shield under warm water to loosen the adhesive. Wash your tattoo with unscented soap and warm water.
• Pat it with a clean paper towel and let it dry for approximately 30 minutes. Add unscented lotion as needed to prevent over drying. Repeat the cleansing and hydration steps for two weeks.
• Avoid all direct sun exposure and submerging in water for the two week healing period. Normal showers are fine.
• After two weeks, your tattoo is healed! While healing, you may work out and resume normal daily activity.

• Your artist may apply saran wrap, Once applied, leave it on for 1-2 hrs or as recommended by your artist.
• For best results remove saran wrap and wash your tattoo with unscented soap and warm water.
• Pat it with a clean paper towel and let it dry for approximately 30 minutes. Add a healing ointment as recommended by your artist as needed to prevent over drying. Repeat the cleansing and hydration steps for two weeks.
• Avoid all direct sun exposure and unnecessary contamination for the two week healing period. Normal showers are fine.
• After two weeks, your tattoo is healed! While healing, you may work out and resume normal daily activity.

• Directly after your piercing, refrain from eating or drinking hot, spicy, acidic or salty foods, as well as avoiding alcoholic beverages or products containing yeast. Additionally, it is important to avoid chewing gum, smoking and oral copulation during the initial healing period.
• Eat only soft foods for the first week or until swelling/discomfort reduces
• For best results, rinse your mouth after eating/drinking and no more than 6 times a day with a non-alcohol based mouthwash.
• Your artist may recommend ibuprofen for pain or discomfort during the healing process 
• Repeat the steps above for 6-8 weeks or as specified by your piercer.
• After 6-8 weeks your piercing should be healed! If swelling reoccurs you may have to repeat the healing process. 

• For best results, wash thoroughly with an antibacterial non-scented soap and warm water twice a day 
• Avoid touching your new piercing unless you are cleaning it and refrain from using any products not recommended by your piercer
• Your piercer may recommend an antiseptic cleanser, such as Bactine, for pain or discomfort during the healing process 
• Repeat the steps above for 6-8 weeks or as specified by your piercer.
• After 6-8 weeks your piercing should be healed! If swelling reoccurs you may have to repeat the healing process.
